elijah rivers hall

Elijah Rivers Hall (b. 2004) is a composer and percussionist drawn to music that tells stories, creates worlds, and ultimately invites listeners to feel deeply. His acoustic and electro-acoustic music often embraces maximalist textures juxtaposed with moments of intimacy- all within the framework that is our deeply post-ironic and post-modern world.

He holds degrees in percussion and music composition from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing his Master’s in composition at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His music has been performed by ensembles such as the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra, the Kansas State University Percussion Ensemble, and more recently, the Bergamot Quartet.

As an educator, he’s passionate about making contemporary music feel immediate, human, and accessible. At the center of his work is a desire for collaboration and community, built actively through the music we love.
